2007 Aesthetics, Technology and the Spirit of Matter

‘Marx Matters: Aesthetics, Technology and the Spirit of Matter’ in Katie Lloyd-Thomas (ed.) Material Matters – Architecture and Material Practice (London: Routledge, 2007)

In this book I also have published the results of a workshop to build a rope computer out of pulleys and weights (run with Richard Difford and Cordula Weisser).

I attach below a chapter from my PhD in which I substantially rework and extend the 2007 paper on empathy, space, and panpsychism.
